About Wilson Primary
About Wilson Primary
Wilson Primary School, located in the heart of Phoenix, is a preschool through third grade school in the Wilson Elementary School District with approximately 600 students. At Wilson Primary, we have provided a superior education for multiple generations of families. In fact, many of our current students have parents or grandparents who attended Wilson schools!
Our Mission
The mission of Wilson Primary School is to provide an equitable education that empowers students, build individual strengths, and maintain high expectations for all.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to empower all students to embrace learning, achieve their personal best and build their emotional, social and physical well-being.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support
Each school within the Wilson Elementary School District implements Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
PBIS is an evidence based three-tiered framework designed to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. Furthermore, it is to prevent problem behavior while teaching socially appropriate behaviors. The focus of PBIS at WSD is creating and sustaining safe and inclusive environments for all students to support appropriate behavior and redirect disruptive behavior.
